Project Overview
Entering its third year, the project is on-going. Originally contracted to provide tiling adhesives (Mapei), grout (Mapei), and temporary protection, the role expanded to include the provision of stone sealer (Vulcaseal), tiling profiles (Schluter), de-coupling matting (Schluter), tanking (Dukkaboard), diamond blades (TIGR), polishing pads, electrical tile saws, and a range of other materials.
Challenges
The project has required the delivery of materials before 9:30 am, on a next-day basis. With tight turnaround times for product delivery, Trimline have worked to anticipate the client’s needs, and have ensured all materials are available and in stock, ready to be shipped and delivered in less than 24 hours of order placement. This has required a high level of forward planning and coordination with the warehouse to guarantee timely product delivery to the job-site.
In addition to providing materials and ensuring expedited delivery, Trimline have advised on essential technical aspects of the project. Members of the team have liaised with sub-contractors, in their offices, to perform thorough testing of stone materials, which has ensured proper usage and application of the product.
After Thoughts
As a result, a client representative is quoted as saying: ‘your service on this project has been absolutely exceptional.’ The project is progressing well; the client is pleased with the high level of service, and Trimline have been retained by the client to supply other key projects.
